Is it better to use Oxford cloth or polyester taffeta for tent fabric? A tent has an inner tent, an outer tent, and a bottom tent, and three different fabrics are used.
The bottom tent needs to be wear-resistant, so the bottom tent should choose Oxford cloth with good firmness, such as 420D Oxford cloth, which is a good choice. It needs to be waterproof, moisture-proof, mildew-proof and dust-proof.
The outer account must be made of waterproof, light-blocking, and UV-resistant fabrics. The waterproofing treatment must be at least 1500MM. Polyester taffeta and Oxford cloth can be used. If you want to be firm, you can choose 420D Oxford cloth or 210D Oxford cloth.
Waterproof Oxford cloth
The inner account is made of polyester taffeta and 210D Oxford cloth. Usually 210T polyester taffeta or 210T Oxford cloth is used. It has good breathability and a certain thermal insulation ability. If it is a four-season tent or a mountain tent, it is recommended to use Oxford fabric.
Generally speaking, the larger the number in front of the ‘D’ number, the stronger and more wear-resistant it is. 420D Oxford cloth is thick, waterproof, sun-proof, high-strength, wear-resistant and corrosion-resistant. It is suitable for making large tents for driving camping or small groups. 210D Oxford cloth is thinner and lighter than 420D, and is suitable for playing with babies on the lawn.
