In recent years, many weaving companies have turned their attention to transferring water-jet looms to northern Jiangsu, Anhui, Hubei and other places. Some companies have already put into production locally, and many companies have this intention. Visit these areas frequently. Why should companies transfer water-jet looms? How much capacity has been transferred from water-jet looms? How much does it cost to move a loom? What are the local policies? To this end, China Silk City Network visited several weaving companies.

1. What is the current situation of water-jet loom renovation?

Since last year, special rectification work on water-jet looms has been in full swing. Various regions have successively introduced regulations to suspend production and limit production. The impact on the textile market can be said to be unprecedented. Taking the Wujiang region as an example, in 2017, the Wujiang region launched the “263” special operation and eliminated a total of 44,408 low-end and illegal water-jet looms throughout the year, accounting for 108.7% of the annual task. Cai Jianzhong, director of the Wujiang District Environmental Protection Bureau, said that Wujiang strives to reduce the total number of water-jet looms from 340,000 to 238,000 in three years from 2017 to 2019, ensuring a 30% reduction in the total.

At the same time, in Wujiang, where land is at a premium, land is hard to find, factory rents are expensive, and indicators are even more difficult to approve. It is really difficult for textile companies to expand the production capacity of water-jet looms. More difficult.

Wujiang Huifeng Silk Shop mainly sells polyester taffeta, pongee and other conventional products. Their general manager Chen Zhirong said that they have 140 water-jet looms in Shengze. In March and April this year, the supply of conventional products such as polyester taffeta and pongee was in short supply. They had the idea of expanding production, but it was basically impossible to expand the production of water-jet looms locally.

Wujiang is currently in the process of reducing the number of water-jet looms. The indicators of water-jet looms are decreasing every year. Coupled with the increasingly strict environmental protection policies, water-jet looms are the mainstay. If weaving enterprises want to expand their production capacity, it is difficult to obtain development space in Wujiang, so they can only target other places.

2. Where do the water-jet looms move? What is the number of transfers?

On the one hand, traditional textile industry clusters such as Wujiang and Xiuzhou District are vigorously renovating water-jet looms, and the number of water-jet looms has dropped sharply; on the other hand, polyester looms Conventional products such as crotch and pongee are in short supply, and the market’s enthusiasm for these fabrics continues. The production capacity of conventional products needs to be increased, and more water-jet looms need to be added. Therefore, industrial transfer is imperative.

Since last year, a large number of water-jet loom households in Jiangsu and Zhejiang have moved to inland areas such as Anhui, Hubei, Hunan, and Jiangxi. Thanks to the preferential support policies of the local government, they have moved out The number of looms is doubling.

Wujiang Yangtian Silk was among the first to set up factories in other places. Their general manager Chen Jiming said that they moved the factory in 2011 because they could not afford land to expand the factory. When we arrived in Langxi, Anhui, the distance from Shengze was no more than 200 kilometers, and the freight cost was about 4-5 cents per meter of cloth. Now their factory has 110 water-jet looms. Since last year, they have started to build a new factory. This year, they plan to increase the number of water-jet looms to 200 in the first phase, and are expected to invest in the second phase. 100 units. Manager Chen said that in 2011, the number of local water-jet looms was around 1,000. Starting from this year, the number of water-jet looms has increased to more than 10,000.

General Manager Chen Zhirong of Wujiang Huifeng Silk Co., Ltd. said that they plan to expand their production capacity to northern Jiangsu and plan to add 300 water-jet looms in Suqian. 100 units will be put into production first. It is in a preparatory state and is expected to be officially put into production in July-August.

3. What is the local production cost?

When transferring production capacity, the first consideration is cost. In the general impression, the Yangtze River Delta region has a developed economy, high labor costs, and expensive land costs. Therefore, it will be cheaper to set up factories in inland areas with relatively underdeveloped economies. However, the reality is different from these.

Suzhou Chuyang Textile mainly sells imitation silk products. Their manager Chen Xiao said that the labor cost in Northern Jiangsu is about 70% of that in Shengze. In terms of rent, Northern Jiangsu Some regions have discounts on site rent for some large factories. The local water and electricity prices are similar to those here. Taken together, the production cost difference per unit of gray fabric is 0.2-0.7 yuan.

Wujiang Bulao Textile mainly produces imitation memory, nylon and pongee four-way elastic series. Their manager Wu Rongshuang said that due to limited production capacity, some of them have the same willingness to expand production. Boss Bu went to northern Jiangsu to inspect. The factories in northern Jiangsu are indeed cheaper than here. The rental price is 6-7 yuan/square meter. The price of new workers is about 3000-4000 yuan/month. However, they are not skilled workers and can only produce polyester taffeta, pongee and other conventional products. The quality of the products and production cannot be compared with here. If you want to open a factory there, you need to bring a group of old workers here with you. The price of these skilled old workers is 500-1,000 yuan/month higher than in Wujiang.

Suzhou Renmai Textile specializes in nylon spinning and 400T polyester taffeta. Their general manager Wang Yuliang said that their company was the first batch of Shengze to set up factories in Anhui. The earliest In the Huaibin Bag Factory in Henan, there are now 120 machines in Jinzhai, Anhui. If you set up a factory in other places, the freight is relatively high. The freight for 20D nylon is 3-5 cents/meter, and the freight for 40D water-containing nylon is 1 cent/meter. Calculating like this,The transportation cost is about 420,000 yuan a year. But there are also advantages there. The rent is relatively cheaper, 84 yuan/square meter per year, while the rent in Shengze is as high as 200-300 yuan/square meter. The costs of transportation and rent are complementary, and the total cost is not much different from Shengze. There is a slight difference in workers’ wages. Anhui workers’ monthly wages are 300-500 yuan higher than those in Shengze because food and housing are included.

Youseku’s main products are polyester taffeta and pongee. There are 300 water-jet looms in Anhui. Their manager Cui Xu said that now from the production cost You see, there is actually not much difference between the local area and Shengze. The water, electricity and environmental protection costs are basically the same; but the labor costs are slightly higher than those in Shengze. This year, workers’ wages have increased by nearly 10%-12%.

4. What are the local hardware and policies like?

When investing in building a factory, local policies and supporting facilities are also an important indicator for companies to consider. What are the conditions in Anhui, Northern Jiangsu and other places?

Buluo Textile’s manager Wu Rongshuang said that supporting facilities in most places in northern Jiangsu are not yet complete, and there are still difficulties in sewage treatment and power distribution. Factories also need to be built, and the required investment cycles are relatively small. long. There are also some industrial parks with relatively complete supporting facilities, but the number is small and cannot meet the current large-scale transfer of water-jet looms. If you set up a factory locally, the government can give the enterprise a certain amount of discount in land rent. The specific discount is related to the investment intensity of the enterprise.

Wang Yuliang, manager of Suzhou Renmai Textile, said that the environmental protection policy of setting up factories in other places is relatively advantageous. Production will not be suspended or restricted, and it is easier to approve quotas, which will not affect production and annual output value. . However, Anhui is an emerging textile industry and is not very mature. There are many factors that prevent instability, and there is no guarantee for Shengze, so this is what he is currently worried about.

Youceku set up factories in other places before environmental protection rectification. Their manager Cui Xu said that because of limited production capacity, they went to Langxi, Anhui to buy land around 2011. , the price at that time was still relatively cheap. However, as more and more manufacturers are relocating overseas, local policies and environmental protection requirements are becoming higher and higher. In Langxi Industrial Park, manufacturers that previously built factories must now meet certain tax standards before they can continue to expand. Factory buildings and rental factories.

Chen Jiming, General Manager of Yangtian Silk, also said that building a factory in Langxi can provide greater development space. As long as the environmental impact assessment can meet the standards, the indicators will be relatively easy to approve. But as more and more people go to build factories there, the difficulty of recruiting workers has skyrocketed, especially skilled workers, who are in short supply. The wages of local skilled workers are several hundred to 1,000 yuan higher than those in the Shengze area, so talents can be attracted to work there.

Afterword: For weaving enterprises in Jiangsu and Zhejiang regions, they want to increase water spraying The number of looms and the influence of policies can only develop outward. In recent years, more and more companies have moved out, resulting in a shortage of local skilled workers. Coupled with freight costs, the costs on both sides have been basically equalized. However, with the rectification of looms and various environmental protection actions, it is believed that the transfer wave of water-jet looms will continue. </p
