Singeing machine – hot plate singeing machine
There are two types of hot plate singeing machines: copper plate singeing machines and electric hot plate singeing machines. Electric hot plate singeing machines have been eliminated. At present, hot plate singeing machines are mainly copper plate singeing machines.
The copper plate singeing machine uses fabric to quickly wipe the surface of the red-hot copper plate to burn off the fluff on the surface of the fabric. Except for the difference between the singeing device and the gas singeing machine, the other components of the copper plate singeing machine are basically the same. The singeing device is composed of copper plates, stoves, swing devices, transmission devices and fire extinguishing devices, as shown in Figure 6-10.
1. Copper plate
Generally, a copper plate singeing machine has 2 to 4 copper plates, which are placed on the furnace. The copper plate is arc-shaped, the arc radius of the copper plate is 200mm, and the thickness is 30~40mm. Its materials are mostly alloy copper plates or red copper plates. The alloy copper plate contains 80% copper, 15% brass, and 5% phosphor copper. The copper plate contains 95% copper. Under the action of high temperature for a long time, copper is easy to oxidize, causing an oxide layer to form on the surface of the copper plate. This not only affects the heat transfer performance, but also makes the surface of the copper plate uneven, resulting in dirty singeing and streaks. For this reason, the copper plate needs to be cold filed every week. several times to remove the oxide layer. Copper plates are generally available for 2 to 3 months.
2. Stove
The stove is the part that heats the copper plate and is made of refractory bricks. The furnace structure is required to heat the copper plate evenly while maximizing thermal efficiency. The copper plate can be heated by coal, oil or gas combustion.
3. Swinging device
Commonly used fuels for copper plate singeing machines are coal and oil. Since coal is added intermittently, it will cause temperature fluctuations. Therefore, a swingable cloth guide roller is installed above the copper plate, which reciprocates back and forth during singeing. Swinging continuously changes the contact surface between the fabric and the copper plate, thus avoiding local cooling and wear of the copper plate, improving the singeing effect and reducing the loss of the copper plate. In addition to swinging back and forth, the swing device can also move up and down, and can adjust the contact surface between the fabric and the copper plate. Generally, the contact is maintained between 4 and 7 cm. In addition, the fabric can be separated from the copper plate when parking and troubleshooting.
