Upland cotton export shipments for the week were 131.5 thousand bales, an increase of 15% from last week and an increase of 46% from the average level of the previous four weeks. U.S. Pima cotton net contracted sales for the week were 0.7,000 bales, reaching an annual low. This is a 90% decrease from last week and a 95% decrease from the average level of the previous four weeks. The increases were mainly in Egypt (0.9 thousand bales), Thailand (0.4 thousand bales), unknown areas (0.4 thousand bales), and Honduras (0.2 thousand bales), partially offset by a net decrease in Pakistan (-1.3 thousand bales). Export shipments for the week were 8.5 thousand packages, a decrease of 3% from last week and an increase of 42% from the average level of the previous four weeks.
